Ian For King

Yes, We can.

About

Ian Rhett is a recent transplant to East Nashville. He came to town, like so many others, to chase his dream of being surrounded by music and music creators. After a recent visit to the Lipstick Lounge, he learned that there was a mysterious annual ritual to select the King and Queen of the East Nashville Tomato Arts Festival. At the urging of friends (and an emerging dream of royal title and station), he threw his hat into the ring.

He is third oldest of a family of 11 kids, an Eagle Scout and a card-carrying foodlover.

Ian is a partner of CivicActions, a virtual Internet strategy and implementation services firm, a singer-songwriter and bon vivant in an uncertain and changing world. He plays guitar, piano and writes and sings songs inspired to support causes making a positive difference in the world. You can read more about Ian’s music story on his website: www.ianrhett.com.

He had a life-long creative block that kept him from completing more than a phrase of a song. After 9/11, he started a 2 year soul-searching journey, leaving a career in technology and entertainment marketing to find his life’s purpose. In a moment of epiphany on New Years Day, 2004, he was clear that his purpose was to make music, which he started doing 2 hours a day, every day and began writing dozens of songs. You can read more about his musical exploits
